confusionIs It Best to Fix My Credit Myself?

Let’s face it, the credit repair industry has a bad reputation.  There is a lot of scam and deception associated with credit repair.  Because of this fact, many people believe the best option available is to fix their credit reports themselves.

Now, I agree that it would be better to try to fix your own credit than to be ripped off by a dishonest company.  However, there are some reputable and trustworthy options out there you may want to consider first.  Here are a few reasons why it is better to have professionals, like the specialists from the HOPE Program, assist you than it is to try to make sense of the credit maze all alone:

1.  Speed – The average HOPE client achieves a much healthier credit report in 6 months or less!  Those who try to tackle their credit problems alone often give up after trying for years and still never achieving the results they want to see.

2.  Money – Most HOPE clients actually save money by having professionals work on their behalf.  The HOPE staff is trained to save our clients every dollar possible, through the deletion of inaccurate items from their credit and through funds saved during negotiations with creditors.  Many people who try to fix their credit alone wind up paying far more than they need to in order to resolve their credit issues.

3.  Time – HOPE clients don’t have to spend their precious time dealing with pesky creditors.  That is what the HOPE staff is here for, to take the leg work out of the clean up process.  You don’t need to spend hours upon hours on the phone trying to resolve and track down old accounts when you can have a professional accomplish these goals on your behalf.

Remember, it is your legal right to work on your own credit report.  If a company tries to tell you otherwise, run away because it is definitely a scam.  However, it is also your legal right to file your own taxes or to represent yourself in a court of law.  Most of us hire an accountant to file our taxes and most of us would hire an attorney to help us with legal matters.  Why, because an accountant and an attorney are better equiped to represent us than we are equiped to represent ourselves.  The same principle rings true with credit problems.  The HOPE Program can help you to achieve better results than you would on your own, usually for much less money.

If you would like more information about how HOPE can assist you with your specific credit needs please give us a call at 704-503-3669.  We would love to answer any questions you may have.
